Is your 2007 sales and marketing plan ready to go? Need a few more ideas? If so, spend two fact-filled, entertaining days with “idea generator” Steve Crowhurst as he guides you through the latest travel and tourism marketing activities.

Learn how to boost your email marketing campaigns, create a web site that attracts more customers, and increases the return, purchase/reservation rate.  Find out about desktop-to-desktop marketing; windows that talk, and how to dress for sales success with your own brand wear. Decide the level of buzz you want happening, and check if your customer service is creating good or bad word of mouth advertising. Learn about weblogs, RSS feeds, google alerts, new niche markets, and using cell phones as one of your best marketing tools.

“All this and more will be presented in an upbeat, down-to-earth, no fluff/no theory environment, led by one of Canada’s best facilitators/speakers on new business generation techniques for the travel and tourism industry,” said Cheryl Dill, coordinator of Malaspina’s Centre for Continuing Studies.

Crowhurst, an international speaker and trainer, has been providing training for the travel and tourism industry since 1983. He presented Canada-wide for provincial departments of tourism in the United States, and in China, Egypt, the United Kingdom, Spain and Bosnia. He writes a monthly sales column for the trade magazine Canadian Traveler, reviews and develops training modules for the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

The Sales and Marketing Boot Camp for Travel and Tourism Industry professionals runs January 26 and 27. To register, contact the Centre for Continuing Studies at 1-866-734-6252.
